Eltek Installation in Brazil Receives Sebrae-MG Award for Sustainable Practices

Pilot Installation Featuring Two Eltek THEIA HE-t Grid Inverters is a Model for Future Solar Power Implementations in Brazil

PLANO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Eltek, the world leader in high efficiency power systems for telecommunications, industrial applications and renewable energy projects, today announced that a groundbreaking solar installation in Brazil powered by Eltek’s highly efficient THEIA HE-t inverters has received an award that recognizes sustainable, green business practices.

The Sebrae-MG award was won by Eltek customer PGM Systems from a field of 93 applicants. Brazil is very ecologically oriented and the award, in its second year, is designed to stimulate technological innovation, as well as efficiency, profitability and sustainability in micro and small businesses. PGM is a software company that installed a solar photovoltaic system on its site to both reduce its impact on the environment and also to reduce its expenses, as it is located in a region known to have the highest utility costs in Brazil.

The installation was done by Eltek partner, Econova. The system contains 28 235-Watt photovoltaic panels. The 6.6 kW DC power plant is supported by two high-efficiency Eltek THEIA HE-t grid inverters.

Eltek’s THEIA HE-t delivers inverter performance that meets or exceeds expectations for renewable energy devices used in grid-connected photovoltaic systems. Certified for use in American, Asian and European markets, the inverter has also attained SunSpec Alliance certification, proving that it meets global interoperability specifications. The THEIA HE-t inverters are a great fit for the PGM Systems solar power implementation because their high efficiency is ideal for this type of environment, where productivity is key. The inverters also have built-in web servers that allow PGM, suppliers and the state utility to monitor the status of PGM’s plant and learn from data collected.
