Calgon Carbon Responds to 13D Filing

PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Calgon Carbon (NYSE:CCC) today acknowledged that Starboard Value and Opportunity Master Fund Ltd. (“Starboard”) filed a 13D notification with the Securities and Exchange Commission announcing its intent to nominate a slate of three Director candidates to stand for election at the Company’s 2013 Annual Stockholders Meeting. The Company has not announced the date of 2013 Annual Meeting.
