Associa University Webinar Explains How to Achieve Community Goals

Tools That Empower Committees and Boards to Work Together

DALLAS--()--Associa University hosts a complimentary webinar, “Working with Volunteers,” Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013 at 2 p.m. CST.

Open to the public, including homeowners association community managers and board members, speaker Larry Pothast describes how boards can use powerful tools to reward volunteers, motivate them to positive action and to maximize efforts. The program is based on Pothast’s workshop of the same name.

“Committees are supposed to work with the direction of the board; however, sometimes their efforts are counterproductive to board goals,” said Matt Kraft, senior vice president of training and development at Associa. “Larry will explain how committees are an asset for boards, and how volunteers can help achieve community success.”

Pothast, a nationally recognized community association expert, trainer and author on HOA leadership, is a former dean of the Community Associations Institute’s Professional Manager Development Program. He served as vice chair of CAI’s national educational council and was a member of the CAI Research Foundation’s board of directors. A registered PCAM, he has many “Speaker of the Year” awards from various CAI chapters.
