PARK CITY, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Chase Sapphire Preferred®, a premier travel rewards card from Chase, hosted the premiere party for Touchy Feely at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, January 19, at The Shop. Touchy Feely writer and director Lynn Shelton attended the celebration and walked the “Sapphire blue” carpet with cast members Rosemarie DeWitt, Ellen Page, Ron Livingston, Allison Janney and Josh Pais.
Hundreds of Chase Sapphire cardholders and VIP guests toasted the film premiere and met the cast at the exclusive celebration. Indie-pop band JJAMZ, which brings together James Valentine of Maroon 5; Jason Boesel of Rilo Kiley and Bright Eyes; Alex Greenwald of Phantom Planet; solo artist Michael Runion; and Z Berg of The Like, drew cheers during a high-energy live performance. Tomo Nakayama, who makes his acting debut in Touchy Feely and is also a member of Grand Hallway – a featured band on the film’s soundtrack – performed an acoustic set for the crowd.
“The Touchy Feely premiere party was a highlight of the Festival’s opening weekend, and Chase Sapphire and its cardholders are thrilled to be part of this memorable celebration for Lynn Shelton and the entire cast,” said Sean O’Reilly, general manager, JP Morgan & Chase Sapphire [NYSE:JPM]. “Access to this invite-only celebration with celebrity guests, the cast and JJAMZ was just one of several exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences Chase Sapphire cardholders enjoyed at the Festival.”
As a presenting sponsor of the Sundance Film Festival for the third year in a row, Chase Sapphire offered cardholders custom packages with insider access to exclusive events, people and films at the Festival. In addition to the Touchy Feely Premiere Party, cardholders enjoyed invite-only VIP parties featuring Ed Burns, Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Freidman, access to an exclusive Chase Sapphire Box Office priority ticket line, complimentary film screening tickets, festival credentials and coveted seats at ChefDance dinners with world-renowned celebrity chefs. Onsite JustLuxe Dining Concierges also helped cardholders book hard-to-reserve tables and enjoy special perks at more than 20 Park City restaurants during the Festival.
Chase Sapphire Preferred also hosted an interactive suite on Park City’s Main Street for all Festival attendees. Chase Sapphire on Main, located at 692 Main Street, remains open to the public through the Festival’s close on Jan. 27 and features a memorabilia gallery from past Sundance Film Festival films, including Little Miss Sunshine, Garden State, Reality Bites – as well as opportunities to take photos in recreated film sets and create video blogs for friends and family.
