MEMPHIS, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) has once again been named to FORTUNE magazine’s list of the “100 Best Companies to Work For” in the United States.
The company is ranked 98th overall.
“This recognition is made possible by the spirit and dedication of FedEx’s more than 300,000 hard-working team members around the world,” said Frederick W. Smith, chairman and CEO of FedEx Corp. “We are pleased to be recognized by FORTUNE magazine as an employer of choice, and all of us are committed to continuing our history of service to our customers and our communities.”
FedEx has made the prestigious list 11 of the past 14 years and was named to the Best Companies to Work For Hall of Fame in 2005. The company also has been consistently ranked in FORTUNE’s Global Most Admired Companies and America’s Most Admired Companies lists since 2002 and 2001, respectively.
To select the 100 Best Companies, FORTUNE partners with the Great Place to Work Institute to conduct the most extensive employee survey in corporate America. Two-thirds of a company’s score is based on the results of the Institute’s Trust Index survey, which is sent to a random sample of employees from each company. The survey asks questions related to their attitudes about the management’s credibility, job satisfaction and camaraderie. The other third of the scoring is based on the company’s responses to the Institute’s Culture Audit, which includes detailed questions about pay and benefit programs and a series of open-ended questions about hiring, communication and diversity.
