GREENVILLE, S.C.--()--Hubbell Lighting, a market leader in innovative lighting technology, design, and manufacturing for over 120 years, has been recognized by Building Operating Management Magazine (BOMM) with two of its prestigious “Top Product of the Year” awards going to Hubbell Lighting brands, Dual-Lite and Hubbell Building Automation (HBA).

The awards recognize Hubbell Building Automation for its Zone 5 Daylight Harvesting Control System and Dual-Lite for its EV LED Series emergency lighting. Innovative products were chosen for recognition from a field of more than 550 products that appeared on BOMM’s website www.facilitiesnet.com, between October 1, 2011 and September 30, 2012.
Readers were asked to choose their top products based on innovation and product usefulness to building facility managers. Those readers voting included facility managers for schools, colleges, and hospitals as well as commercial and industrial facilities nationwide.
Zone 5 Daylight Harvesting Control System
The Zone 5 Daylight Harvesting Control System provides users with one to four rows of daylight dimming, daylight switching, or step dimming control. In operation, color-coded cables connect to clearly labeled color-coded ports on a control module. System commissioning is accomplished through an SD card interface, and real time status of all connected devices can easily monitored through the control module’s interactive LCD user menu.
Drawing on nearly 30 years of lighting control experience and regarded as one of the lighting industry’s leading developers of groundbreaking technologies in lighting control panels, HID and fluorescent controls, and occupancy sensor controls, HBA produces a full line of daylight harvesting products for indoor, outdoor, and atrium applications. Dual-Lite’s new patents-pending EV LED Series utilizes 2 high powered long-life LEDs to produce superior light output with optimized fixture spacing of up to 27’ in the most sustainable and energy efficient emergency lighting solution available today. Most emergency lights use a minimum of 10 watts to light a given space but the EV Series does the job with less than 2 watts of power.
The architecturally styled emergency EV Series features a small, environmentally friendly Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery that requires only 1 watt of input power and reduces the overall footprint by half of contemporary emergency lights.
