Tell Jon Gruden Why Your High School Football Program Deserves $5,000 from Hooters

Hooters offers five lucky winners a $5,000 cash donation to the high school booster club of their choice and FREE boneless wings for a year

ATLANTA--()--Hooters of America, LLC, a franchisor and operator of more than 435 Hooters restaurants in 44 states and 28 foreign countries, today announced there is still time to enter the “Gruden Giveaway Video Upload Contest.” As part of Hooters football program featuring Jon Gruden, former National Football League head coach and current ESPN Monday Night Football analyst, Hooters is offering fans the chance to win a $5,000 donation to the high school booster club of their choice plus free boneless wings for a year.

Contestants are asked to upload a video explaining why Hooters is their favorite spot to watch games and why their high school booster club deserves to win a $5,000 grant from Hooters. Contestants have until midnight on December 30, 2012, to submit their 60-second video. Five winners will be selected, visit www.hootersfootball.com for submission details and official rules.

“High school football fans are a passionate, devoted group and we want to see that passion and intensity shine in the Gruden Giveaway video submissions,” said Dave Henninger, chief marketing officer for Hooters of America, LLC. “This contest is a great opportunity to give back to the communities Hooters serves and we’re thrilled to work with Jon Gruden to support local high schools.”

Gruden has been a Hooters fan since 1983. During his college days, he served as a wing shaker and oyster shucker at the West Hillsborough Avenue Hooters location in Tampa, Fla. Gruden often looks for ways to pay it forward to the football community. In concert with the FFCA (Fired Football Coaches Association), over the past several weeks Gruden met with local high school football coaches at Hooters locations across the country for fellowship and networking.

The FFCA teamed up with Hooters in an effort to give back to the love of the game of football. Football programs at local high schools are in need of financial assistance to aid in the development of student-athletes. The proceeds from the sale of FFCA-licensed Hooters merchandise will be donated to local high schools to help cover the costs associated with their football programs. In addition to supporting local schools, Hooters is the perfect destination for football fans. Thanks to ESPN GamePlan on DIRECTV, available at all corporately-owned Hooters restaurants, Hooters offers fans 15 college football games each week from the top conferences and key match-ups. NFL Sunday Ticket delivers all of the NFL action every week of the regular season. While enjoying college and professional football games, fans can also take advantage of food and drink specials served by the All-American Hooters Girls all season long.

About the Fired Football Coaches Association

The FFCA (Fired Football Coaches Association) started in a small office shortly after the 2008 football season in Tampa, Florida. I had just been fired, and learned that there were many others just like me that needed a place to go to study football. The office is full of game film, grease boards and notepads. We've hosted NFL coaches, major college coaches, small college coaches, high school coaches and pop warner coaches. We've even hosted people who aren't coaches at all, but love football. It's amazing how many of us are out there. – Jon Gruden; For more information, please visit: www.ffcassn.com
