Kenneth Goodreau Joins TIG Advisors as Chief Investment Officer

Former Rhode Island Pension CIO Bolsters Leading Investment Platform

NEW YORK--()--TIG Advisors, LLC (“TIG”), a leading investment platform that oversees more than $1.8 billion across multiple strategies, today announced that Kenneth Goodreau, former Chief Investment Officer of the $8 billion Rhode Island State Pension, will join the firm as Chief Investment Officer, effective January 1, 2013. In this new role, Mr. Goodreau will develop and manage various aspects of TIG’s investment platform, including creating multi-manager solutions for institutional investors, sourcing portfolio management talent and providing thematic investment research.

Prior to joining the Rhode Island Treasurer’s Office in 2007, Mr. Goodreau was general partner and portfolio manager of Knollwood Capital Partners, a long/short equity hedge fund. Previously, he was a senior research analyst at Leerink Swaan & Co.

Mr. Goodreau holds a B.A in Marketing/Economics from the University of Rhode Island and is a Chartered Market Technician.
