CorFire Integrates PayPal to Enhance Mobile Commerce Services for Variety of Merchants and their Customers

ATLANTA--()--CorFire™, the mobile commerce business of SK C&C USA and the industry-leading mobile technology expert, today announced a strategic integration with PayPal, a leader in online and mobile payments, to advance the adoption of mobile commerce services by merchants, including quick service restaurants, retailers, convenience stores, gas station chains, and their consumers.

CorFire will integrate PayPal’s Mobile Express Checkout, PayPal Here™, and a number of other PayPal services to bring mobile commerce to the next level of convenience and security, with richer features that will simplify consumers’ lives.

In addition, CorFire will work with PayPal to bring large merchants and their services including mobile closed-loop cards, offers, and loyalty programs into the PayPal’s mobile app. For merchants, this means being able to deploy their own mobile app including PayPal services and at the same time being part of the PayPal mobile app.

Mobile Express Checkout streamlines customer payment and checkout on mobile devices. One example of its use is to facilitate the reload of merchant prepaid virtual cards within merchant m-commerce apps. PayPal Here allows consumers to check in at merchant stores with their smartphone and pay at the POS using in-store checkout with their PayPal account.

“PayPal’s expertise in mobile payments along with CorFire’s innovative approach and robust technology will help make mobile commerce easier and faster for merchants and consumers,” said Hill Ferguson, Vice President of Global Product at PayPal. “By integrating PayPal into CorFire, merchants can accomplish two objectives: develop and manage their own mobile app while benefiting from the security and ease-of-use that PayPal offers, and leverage PayPal’s mobile apps to reach millions of consumers.”

“CorFire uses years of industry experience to deliver secure mobile commerce solutions that expand customers’ payments offering and, most importantly, broaden their reach to consumers who are increasingly relying on smartphones to conduct every day transactions,” said Dr. Jae Chung, CEO and president of CorFire. “With PayPal, we will continue to demonstrate our commitment to make mobile payments easier in the retail environment.”
