LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Every year, AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) hosts their Toy Box holiday party to collect toys for the families of clients of Southern California AIDS service organizations. And for the second year in a row the foundation’s fun-loving bunch of safer sex advocates, Impulse Group, held their FROSTED holiday party in conjunction with the toy drive.
More than 700 guests showed up at the “WeHo Winter Wonderland” that Impulse Group set up in the parking lot of 8752 El Tovar Place just off of Robertson Boulevard in the heart of West Hollywood. The allure of free entry to both Toy Box and FROSTED for all those bearing an unwrapped toy to donate pushed the guests’ giving spirit over the top, and an estimated 1,000 toys – which were amassed around a gleaming evergreen in a mountainous display of generosity – were collected during the two events.
The toys are to be distributed to the families of clients of AHF, AIDS Project Los Angeles, Bienestar, and the Whittier Rio Hondo AIDS Project. The event was co-sponsored by the City of West Hollywood.
The festive benefit also attracted several celebrities, including The Vampire Diaries’ Kat Graham and Jersey Shore’s Jenni “JWoww” Farley, who graced the step-and-repeat along with a man-sized toy soldier, a giant candy cane, and a model adorned with enough glittering accents to transform him into the world’s most aesthetically pleasing Ice-Man.
“We are so appreciative of the outpouring of support from our friends and advocates who came out for our 2nd annual FROSTED event,” said Impulse Group President Jose Ramos. “It was great to see so many familiar faces as well as many new ones who were open to our message. It’s a great testament to all in our community who contributed to such an amazing cause in the true spirit of the holiday season.”
