12 Days of Christmas Rewritten to Help Children Around the Globe

Golden rings, maids and lords replaced with goats, tools and bikes in new video

RICHMOND, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Is your local retailer sold out of six geese-a-laying? Don’t panic. For 2012, ChildFund International has rewritten the traditional 12 Days of Christmas carol to include gifts that help children and families across the world. All items are in stock and ready to ship to the 31 countries ChildFund supports.

ChildFund used gifts from its annual Gifts of Love & Hope catalog to redo the popular holiday song for an online video. Employees volunteered their time to film scenes.

The catalog contains more than 100 items, ranging in price from $8 to $42,000 that have been specifically requested for families and children by ChildFund staff on the ground in program countries. Gifts are delivered directly to recipients in just the way they are described and are tax deductible.

On the eleventh day of Christmas, I gave a child in need, eleven wellness checkups,
On the twelfth day of Christmas, I gave a child in need, twelve head of cattle.
