DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sharon Stark, a renowned strategist with more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and in bank regulation and policy, has agreed to join D.A. Davidson & Co., the company announced today.
Stark will serve as a Managing Director and Fixed Income Strategist, working from Florida. Her career includes work with the FDIC and Office of Thrift Supervision and, most recently, serving as a fixed income strategist who provides frequent market commentary in national media interviews.

Stark’s career includes serving as the Senior Advisor to the Deputy Director and COO of the Office of Thrift Supervision on policy and operational issues. Before that, she spent 12 years as Chief Market Strategist for fixed income capital markets at Legg Mason and participated in the development and oversight of institutional and retail business lines and also spent five years with the FDIC as Deputy Assistant Director, managing the policy and training section of the Office of Capital Markets.
Stark has made numerous media appearances with high-profile broadcast, print and digital outlets, including interviews with CNBC, Bloomberg TV, Fox Business News, Reuters and the Dow Jones News Service (Wall Street Journal).
She will join D.A. Davidson at a later date. Her decision to join the firm comes during a period of strategic growth in the firm’s Fixed Income Capital Markets Group. On Monday, the firm announced a significant number of hires of its taxable fixed income group with the addition of a credit strategies team, portfolio strategist, bond trader and eight institutional sales team members located in several cities.
