OLDWICK, N.J.--()--A.M. Best Co. has withdrawn the financial strength rating of A (Excellent) and issuer credit rating of “a+” of American Standard Insurance Company (ASIC) (Dallas, TX) following its merger into its affiliate, The American Insurance Company (AIC) (Columbus, OH). This transaction closed on September 30, 2012, at which time all assets and liabilities of ASIC were merged into AIC.
