Fitch Withdraws Ratings on AMR's Senior Unsecured and Senior Secured Notes

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fitch Ratings is withdrawing ratings on various classes of senior unsecured and senior secured debt issued by AMR Corp. and its principal operating subsidiary American Airlines, Inc. AMR continues to reorganize under court supervision since filing for Chapter 11 on Nov. 29, 2011. The issue ratings are being withdrawn due to insufficient information available to maintain a recovery rating, as AMR's capital structure continues to evolve through the bankruptcy process. Fitch affirms AMR's IDR at 'D'.

Fitch has taken the following ratings actions:

AMR Corp.

--Issuer Default Rating (IDR) affirmed at 'D'

--Senior Unsecured Rating of 'C/RR6' withdrawn

American Airlines, Inc.

--IDR affirmed at 'D'

--Senior Secured Notes Rating of 'CCC/RR1' withdrawn
