SCAN Health Plan Adds San Ramon Regional Medical Center to its Provider Network; Expands Contract with Hill Physicians Medical Group

SAN RAMON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SCAN Health Plan announced today that San Ramon Regional Medical Center has joined the health plan’s provider network, effective January 1, 2013. SCAN members will have access to San Ramon Regional through the health plan’s newly expanded contract with Hill Physicians Medical Group (HPMG), which has increased the number of primary care physicians and specialists in the SCAN provider network.

SCAN members in Contra Costa now have access to four outstanding hospitals in the county – San Ramon Regional Medical Center; John Muir Medical Center, Concord; John Muir Medical Center, Walnut Creek; and Doctors Medical Center, San Pablo. The medical groups serving SCAN members in Contra Costa County are HPMG, Affinity Medical Solutions and John Muir Health.

San Ramon Regional Medical Center is a full-service, acute care hospital. The 123-bed facility provides 24-hour emergency care and complete inpatient and outpatient services, including an outpatient surgery and treatment center. The center provides a wide variety of medical services such as cardiac care, cancer care, orthopedics, pediatrics, a blood conservation program and a birthing center. San Ramon Regional also has a breast center, outpatient surgery center, infusion center, outpatient therapy services, sports performance institute, performs cardiac surgery, and practices robotic-assisted surgery.
