SUNRISE, Fla.--()--Sheridan Healthcare, Inc., a hospital-based, multispecialty practice management company and the leading anesthesia services provider in the country, is accepting scholarship applications from anesthesiology assistant students who demonstrate exemplary clinical and leadership skills at the national level.

"This is the second year our Education Outreach Program is offering this scholarship to anesthesiology assistant students nationwide,” said Gilbert Drozdow, M.D., M.B.A., president of anesthesia services at Sheridan Healthcare. “We are pleased to recognize the hardworking and dedicated students who have chosen anesthesiology as a profession and who will be the future of this field.”
One $5,000 scholarship will be awarded. Applicants must have completed a minimum of 12 months at a full-time, accredited anesthesiology program in the U.S.; have a minimum grade point average of 3.5; write an essay; be nominated by a program director, academic faculty instructor or clinical coordinator; and submit letters of recommendation from a faculty member and clinical instructor.
The deadline to apply is January 15, 2013. Winners will be announced in April 2013.
