CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--With a string of new customers and alliances with strategic partners for its cloud-based medical image archive platform, Dell has been recognized as one of the largest healthcare cloud computing providers in the industry.

Over the last year, Dell has forged strategic alliances with industry leaders such as Siemens Healthcare, Agfa HealthCare, Aperio, Acuo Technologies and lifeIMAGE, in addition to previously announced alliances with Merge Healthcare, Calgary Scientific, Novarad, TeraMedica, BridgeHead Software, Avreo and Apollo.

These alliances – combined with Dell’s long-standing reputation in the field – have resulted in significant customer growth, including engagements with Intermountain Healthcare, Centegra Health System, St. Joseph Health, Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian, the U.S. Navy Medical Logistics Command and the U.S. Army Integrated Clinical Systems PMO, Elizabeth Wende Breast Care and Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center. Dell is also working with HealthInfoNet, the Health Information Exchange (HIE) for the state of Maine, to pilot the nation’s first statewide medical image archive.
