Scorelogix® launched the IT Job Security Index in March 2008. The IT Job Security Index is a measure of job security in the Information Technology Industry. Higher scores indicate higher levels of job security.

Every month, Scorelogix® produces the Scorelogix® Job Security Index, a snapshot of the nation's job security level, by location, occupation, and industry. Launched in March 2004 and published monthly since February 2006, the Scorelogix® Job Security Index is based on an analysis of thousands of Job Security Scores for individuals across the nation and represents how economy, technology, international trade and competition, outsourcing, etc, impact jobs and job security.

The Scorelogix IT Job Security Index increased by 0.3% in September 2012 when compared to August 2012 and increased by 19.8% in September 2012 when compared to September 2011.

After the increases of the last two months, the index continued a moderately paced increasing trend this month. However, in the mid-term, a slowing economy will likely have a negative impact and Scorelogix continues to forecast some slight, near term decreases. In sum the volatility registered in these contradictory short and moderate term factors remains likely for this index in the coming months.

Updated monthly, Information Technology JSI reports can be purchased individually or by subscription.
