Piranha Pond Pitch Party Returns on Thursday, December 13, 2012

WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The 128 Innovation Capital Group is pleased to announce the return of the Piranha Pond Pitch Party on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at its regular meeting at the IBM Innovation Center, 404 Wyman St., Waltham, MA from 7:30 – 10:00 AM.

At the Piranha Pond, entrepreneurs seeking funding have a 5-minute opportunity to convince an Investor panel to give them the money. If any of the investors have an interest in an opportunity and is “IN,” the entrepreneur will have followup meetings with them.

The Investor panel was assembled to provide a broad spectrum of Investment interests and includes: Jenny Freeman of Boston Harbor Angels, Jennifer Jordan of MassVentures, Richard Noyes of Beacon Angels and David Verrill of Hub Angels.

Applications to present are being accepted until Tuesday, November 27, 2012. At previous Piranha Pond event, most entrepreneurs had the chance to follow up with at least one of those on the investor Panel.

The event is open to the public, and we anticipate other investors to be in the audience.

The 128 Innovation Capital Group began almost 31 years ago as the 128 Venture Capital Group and has been holding meetings on the second Thursday of every month since its inception. At the meetings, all attendees can introduce themselves to the group, and a roster of attendees is distributed following the meeting. Our speakers are ALWAYS investors – either venture capitalists or Angel Investors and our topics span the issues of interest to companies seeking institutional investment.
