Nuveen Long/Short Commodity Total Return Fund Declares Initial Monthly Distribution

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nuveen Investments, a leading global provider of investment services to institutions and high-net-worth investors, today announced the first distribution declaration for the Nuveen Long/Short Commodity Total Return Fund (NYSE MKT:CTF) of $.1550 per share. The fund began trading on the NYSE MKT on October 26, 2012. This distribution reflects an annualized distribution rate of 7.44 percent based on the fund’s $25.00 per share IPO price.

The fund intends to make regular monthly distributions to its shareholders based on its past and projected performance. Among other factors, the fund will seek to establish a distribution rate that roughly corresponds to projections by the fund’s manager, Nuveen Commodities Asset Management, of the total return that could reasonably be expected to be generated by the fund over an extended period of time.
