Setpoint Celebrates 20 Years of Automation

OGDEN, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Setpoint Systems (http://www.setpointusa.com), a leader in the design and manufacture of custom lean automation solutions and manufacturing equipment, recently celebrated the 20^th anniversary of their custom automation division.

In 1992, co-founders Joe Cornwell and Joe Van Den Berghe started Setpoint Systems as a 2-man engineering firm. Their goal was to build the business around collaborative efforts with local companies, solving their simple automation needs. Today, Setpoint is an acknowledged leader in innovative manufacturing solutions utilizing the Toyota Production System, lean principles and single-part flow philosophies. They have established themselves as a successful collaborative partner for numerous industries, including many green efforts, such as electric vehicle manufacturing. Setpoint’s custom automation equipment can be found in a number of diverse manufacturing plants around the country, ranging from automotive assembly plants to US government ammunition facilities.

To mark the anniversary, Setpoint held an open house celebration on October 30^th, inviting their customers, vendors, friends and families to celebrate this major milestone with the Setpoint team. During the event, refreshments were served and numerous prizes were given away, as well as Setpoint hats and t-shirts. Founders Cornwell and Van Den Berghe were on hand to greet many of their long-term customers and discuss how much the business has evolved in 20 years. “This open house was a great opportunity for us to express our gratitude to all of the customers and vendors that have helped make us successful over the last two decades,” said Joe Knight, CFO and co-owner of Setpoint Systems. “I’m just amazed that 20 years have passed by so quickly!”

Setpoint also took the opportunity to support the Utah Food Bank during their open house. Donations were solicited, collected and distributed to the local food bank chapter.
