Liaison Healthcare Launches Patient Document Repository to Help Providers Complete Electronic Health Records and Facilitate Health Information Exchange

Cloud-based solution enhances patient information systems through real-time access to structured and unstructured data

ATLANTA--()--Liaison Healthcare, a global provider of secure cloud-based integration and data management services and solutions, announced today the launch of its Patient Document Repository (PDR) within the Healthcare Information as a Service solution suite. This solution allows health systems to securely store, retrieve and share patient documentation across multiple care venues in real-time to maintain consistency across venues of care, and ensure the most up-to-date patient information is available to support clinical decisions.

The cloud-based PDR solution offers real-time access to patient documentation in both structured and unstructured formats and helps providers ensure that all elements of a patient record are available anywhere and anytime. It also serves as a central location from which healthcare organizations can aggregate and maintain control over information within the EHR systems.

This solution bolsters patient information management systems through centralized, cloud-based data storage and retrieval capabilities. By incorporating the PDR solution into their health IT systems, providers will be able to:

  • Retrieve patient documents easily through a single source and real-time service access;
  • Reduce documentation errors associated with incomplete EHRs;
  • Scale document storage as files and patient loads increase;
  • Streamline workflows by reducing the amount of paper records; and
  • Support the capture and maintenance of documentation relevant to the longitudinal patient record, and ultimately improve patient safety and exchange information across the continuum of care.

“At Liaison Healthcare, we recognized an industry need for a cloud-based PDR solution that helps providers create comprehensive electronic health records necessary for delivering value-based care,” said Gary Palgon, vice president, healthcare solutions at Liaison Healthcare. “By leveraging the cloud for the storage and retrieval of patient documents and other data, organizations will be able to maintain longitudinal records for more and more patients as they move toward new care models and health information exchange.”
