Not only for providing the best quality of care for our residents during the storms that have hit New Jersey, but for going the extra mile during a time of crisis to help fellow team members as well as those in the affected communities.
It is inspiring to witness this passionate and caring company – a team that strives each and every day to meet the highest standards of safety, care and services for our residents.
Over the past couple of weeks, I have truly been amazed by the dedication and numerous acts of kindness by so many. A few notable points that have helped keep our healthcare centers operational:
- The remarkable gasoline rally–team members gathered gas cans and gasoline and organized delivery of the gas to team members in the hardest hit areas;
- The incredible team efforts to mobilize and operate the Care One relief store that provided food and clothing to team members who were also victims of the devastating storm;
- The countless team members who slept overnight in conference rooms, who came to work regardless of difficult circumstances, and who assisted with the transportation of other team members, deliveries of vital supplies and pharmacy items.
Indeed, it is this can-do spirit and your dedication that inspires us all.
New Jersey was hit very hard as was New York. There has been loss of life and loss of homes and property. Many of our employees have been affected by the storm. Many are still without power and continue to struggle to get through each day. My thoughts go out to you and your families.
The recovery from this huge storm will be ongoing for many months for many people, so thank you again for your continued dedication.
