SOLNA, Sweden--()--Regulatory News:
“Together, we will be able to create spaces that will satisfy the needs of the hospital and ultimately the city’s inhabitants. In NCC, we also have a partner that enables us to achieve our lofty environmental objectives”
NCC Construction Sweden has been commissioned to construct Angered Hospital, Sweden’s first newly built community hospital. The client is Västfastigheter and the project will be conducted on a partnering basis. The order is valued at about SEK 400 million and will be registered in the fourth quarter of 2012.
Planning and preparations are well underway ahead of the start of construction, which is expected to commence at the beginning of 2013.
Angered Hospital is scheduled for completion in 2015 and will comprise an area of 18,000 square meters. In addition to specialist clinics and operating theaters, the building will also house a district health centre. The building’s design and layout is the result of an innovative approach that is based on the patient and cooperation between areas of treatment.
“The construction of Angered Hospital is a tangible contribution by us to increase the public benefit in the north east of Gothenburg,” says Fredrik Johansson, Department Manager, NCC Construction, Western Region.
“Together, we will be able to create spaces that will satisfy the needs of the hospital and ultimately the city’s inhabitants. In NCC, we also have a partner that enables us to achieve our lofty environmental objectives,” says Lars Janson, Property Director, Västfastigheter.
“Partnering is a work method that is well suited to the production of hospital buildings since it allows a process in which decisions about technical care solutions can be made closer to the opening date and gives us secure control over the project’s final cost, date of completion and quality,” says Fredrik Johansson
