AAA Mid-Atlantic Was Recognized in the SuperNova Next Generation Customer Experience Award Category for its WSO2 Carbon-enabled Mobile Auto Buying Tools Application

PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WSO2 today announced that customer AAA Mid-Atlantic has been selected as a semi-finalist for a 2012 SuperNova Award in the Next Generation Customer Experience category. The second annual SuperNova Awards from Constellation Research, Inc. have recognized AAA Mid-Atlantic for its innovative Auto Buying Tools application, which lets AAA members research, price and even purchase vehicles from their mobile phones.

Available to nearly 53 million members of 41 AAA clubs, plus non-members, the AAA Auto Buying Tools app works with any mobile device running Apple iOS, including the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. Users can research and compare vehicles, and by logging on, AAA members can purchase vehicles at member prices. Using WSO2 Carbon open source middleware, it took just six months to launch the AAA Auto Buying Tools app, which accommodates the different business relationships, rules and processes for each of 41 US AAA affiliate clubs. Since launching in December 2011, the Auto Buying Tools app has been downloaded more than 25,000 times.
