SACRAMENTO, Calif.--()--The following statement is attributed to Carmella Gutierrez, president of Californians for Patient Care:
“As a nonprofit patient advocacy organization dedicated to ensuring that all Californians have access to affordable care, Californians for Patient Care is pleased to support Proposition 30.”
“As a nonprofit patient advocacy organization dedicated to ensuring that all Californians have access to affordable care, Californians for Patient Care is pleased to support Proposition 30.
“While the State of California is experiencing another challenging budget year, our most vulnerable residents already have suffered from severe cuts to much-needed healthcare programs. Proposition 30 would provide additional revenue to the state, preventing additional cuts to California’s already stressed healthcare programs. Without the passage of Proposition 30, further cuts would put our state’s healthcare providers at tremendous risk, leaving our sickest and poorest populations without an important lifeline to basic healthcare.
“We encourage every Californian to consider the role that good health plays in all aspects of life. Without good health, it is hard to get and keep a job, attend school regularly, participate in hobbies or community events and enjoy time with friends and family. By voting for Proposition 30, Californians are voting to make education and the health of the state and its most vulnerable residents a priority.”
