WILMINGTON, Del.--()--Today, Chase Card Services, a division of JP Morgan Chase & Co. [NYSE: JPM] and HyCard Inc., an affiliate of Hyatt Hotels Corporation [NYSE: H], announced that cardholders will enjoy more travel benefits than ever before with the Hyatt Credit Card. Cardholders will now get more for spending on the Card, receiving two Hyatt Gold Passport points per dollar spent at restaurants, on airline tickets purchased directly with the airline and at car rental agencies. Cardholders will also earn status faster by receiving two stay and five night credits toward Diamond status when they spend $20,000 during the calendar year, and an additional 3 stay and 5 night credits when they spend $40,000 during the calendar year.

“These new enhancements give cardholders the ability to earn free nights and elite status faster and provide them with unmatched travel benefits,” said Robin Schettini, general manager, Chase Card Services. “We believe these enhancements, coupled with existing card benefits, will position the Hyatt Credit Card as the card of choice for travel rewards.”

The Hyatt Credit Card features the following benefits for cardholders, all for a $75 annual fee:

  • Begin with 2 Free Nights at Hyatt properties worldwide after spending $1,000 within the first three months from account opening
  • No foreign transaction fees
  • EMV chip-and-signature technology
  • Earn 3 Hyatt Gold Passport points for every $1 spent at Hyatt
  • Earn 2 Hyatt Gold Passport points for every $1 spent at restaurants, on airline tickets purchased directly with the airline and at car rental agencies
  • Earn 1 Hyatt Gold Passport point for every $1 spent everywhere else
  • Earn 2 stay and 5 night credits toward Diamond status when you spend $20,000 in a calendar year and an additional 3 stay and 5 night credits when you spend $40,000 in a calendar year
  • Receive automatic Hyatt Gold Passport Platinum membership – and maintain Platinum status as long as you are a cardholder
  • Receive 1 Free Night in any Category 1-4 property every year on your cardholder anniversary
  • No limits on points earned

“We know that our Hyatt Gold Passport members spend a considerable amount on dining, flying and renting cars, so we wanted to make those transactions more rewarding,” said Jeff Zidell, vice president Hyatt Gold Passport. “In addition, we wanted to provide cardholders with a fast track to our most elite status so they have an opportunity to enjoy more of what makes staying at Hyatt a wonderful experience.”

To celebrate the Hyatt Credit Card’s expanded dining and travel benefits, Chase and Hyatt are also hosting exclusive events for current cardholders in New York City and Chicago. The “farm-to-table” themed events will showcase both the benefits of being a Hyatt Credit Card cardholder and Hyatt’s newest philosophy: “Food. Thoughtfully Sourced. Carefully Served.” Guests will experience interactive elements including an indoor farmers market and the opportunity to meet Mary Nolan, Chef de Cuisine at Bon Appétit, as well as view a demonstration by Chef Vincent Muraco from The Shop at Andaz 5th Avenue in New York. Guests in Chicago will be treated to a demonstration from Executive Chef Ryan LaRoche of NoMI Kitchen. The two events will take place at Andaz 5th Avenue on Thursday, October 4, 2012 and Park Hyatt Chicago on Wednesday, October 10, 2012.
