“I have been talking with and listening to a broad slice of the DDIFO membership for the past few months and I'm delighted to now be in the position to provide them with the representation and leadership they have been asking for. The organization is well positioned and strong. My charge is to bring us to the next level, and that is precisely what I intend to do,” said Shanahan. During the National Members Meeting, Shanahan led a breakout session on government relations—specifically regarding the issue of growing government involvement with their businesses.
