PCI Security Standards Council Announces Availability of Portuguese Language Training in Brazil

— New Brazilian partner organization to offer high quality instructor-led PCI training in local language —

WAKEFIELD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC), a global, open industry standards body providing management of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), PIN Transaction Security (PTS) requirements and the Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS), today announced a new partnership to offer local language PCI training in Brazil. Organizations in Brazil can now benefit from increased understanding of PCI Standards through high quality instructor-led training in Portuguese, as well as save time and money on international travel.

The PCI Security Standards Council will partner with Antebellum, a leading Brazilian IT training provider, to deliver instructor-led courses for the Internal Security Assessor (ISA) program and the PCI Awareness class. All materials and discussions in the classroom will be facilitated in Portuguese. Antebellum’s Fernando Fonseca, an IT education professional with over 15 years of security experience will deliver the training. Fonseca founded Antebellum in 1997 to offer high quality training services in the technology space, working with major companies such as HP, Microsoft and Modulo.

The Council’s popular Internal Security Assessor course can help organizations build expert payment security staff and:

• Improve understanding of PCI DSS and how it can help protect customer data and improve business risk assessment
• Help an organization build internal expertise and assess their compliance with PCI standards
• Facilitate interaction with a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) for an organization
• Enhance payment card data security and manage compliance costs

PCI Awareness training is an entry-level course that outlines challenges surrounding payment card security, explains how PCI Standards can help mitigate risk and provides the tools to build a secure payments environment.
