RBK Announce Partnership with Bigpoint

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RBK Money has today announced that it is to partner with Bigpoint, Europe’s leading online-games developer and publisher. The partnership will mean that Bigpoint customers will be able to use RBK’s suite of payment options at the online check-out.

Bigpoint has developed from a small start-up to a large, internationally successful business with partners and customers around the world. The announcement follows the appointment in August of Jochen Siegert, a payment expert, who was brought in as Head of Payments to lead and grow the payment solutions of the Bigpoint portfolio.

Jochen Siegert explained why they chose RBK Money: “We want to continue to be the number one browser games publisher in every market where we’re present. Russia provides a great expansion opportunity and we recognise that RBK Money is the preferred payment option, particularly where people prefer to pay in cash and don’t have bank accounts or credit cards.”

RBK Money are dominant in Russia and the former CIS where they have partnerships with Banks, the Post Office, retailers and payment kiosk providers. In January this year RBK set up an office in London, their first in Western Europe. The UK Government’s UKTI welcomed the move and recognised RBK’s expertise, saying that the new office would help UK traders access the Russian market.
