TAIPEI, Taiwan--()--Delta Electronics today announced it has been selected to two of the prestigious 2012 Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes—the DJSI World Index and the DJSI Asia/ Pacific Index—for the 2nd consecutive year. Delta was ranked first among the 29 leading companies in the ITC Electronic Equipment sector and named as "Sector Leader" for the first time. Selection as "Sector Leader" of the DJSI is major international recognition for Delta's continued commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
“To provide innovative, clean and energy-efficient solutions for a better tomorrow”
The Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes were launched in 1999 as the first global sustainability benchmarks. The indexes are offered cooperatively by SAM Indexes and Dow Jones Indexes. Each year, they invite the world's 2,500 largest companies, measured by free-float market capitalization, from the 58 sectors to report on their sustainability performance. The result of the Corporate Sustainability Assessment provides an in-depth analysis of economic, environmental and social criteria. The indexes serve as benchmarks for investors who integrate sustainability considerations into their portfolios, and provide an effective engagement platform for companies who want to adopt sustainable best practices.
Delta Electronics is dedicated to fulfilling its corporate mission "To provide innovative, clean and energy-efficient solutions for a better tomorrow", and it has made strategic efforts to strengthen human resources management, risk management, and environmental management geared to international CSR best practices, all while fully promoting the development of its corporate sustainability. Achieving the DJSI’s highest score in the global ITC Electronic Equipment sector, Delta received full marks in "Risk & Crisis Management" "Environmental Policy/Management System" "Human Capital Development" and "Occupational Health and Safety" and leading performance in "Antitrust Policy" "Brand Management" "Customer Relationship Management" "Innovation Management" "Strategy for Emerging Markets" "Supply Chain Management" "Climate Strategy" "Labor Practice Indicators and Human Rights".
