[NASDAQ:IKAN], a leading provider of advanced broadband semiconductor and software products for the digital home, today named Robert Dunnigan as the company’s new vice president of operations. Dunnigan, who will report directly to CEO Omid Tahernia – who joined Ikanos in June this year - will oversee manufacturing processes and streamline supply chain functions to help meet the company’s aggressive expansion plans for delivering cost-effective, high speed digital access.

Dunnigan has 29 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, having held senior management and vice presidential positions at Cypress Semiconductor, during which he led global engineering, manufacturing and operations teams and initiatives. Prior to joining Cypress, Dunnigan served as a vice president of design services for Sigmatel, and before that, spent 22 years in Motorola’s Memory and Baseband Semiconductor Divisions, in various levels of management and product engineering. Dunnigan has deep domain experience in the areas of CMOS semiconductor manufacturing, design, testing, and supply chain management.
