TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

Amlin plc (“Amlin”) announces that on 3 September 2012 it transferred from treasury to participants in its employee share option scheme(s), the following numbers of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each (“ordinary shares”):

72,900 ordinary shares at nil cost pursuant to the Amlin Share Incentive Plan – Free Share Award.

Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total 5,053,936 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 497,022,070 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
