PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Knowledge Universe® – United States (KU-US), the nation’s largest private provider of early childhood education and care, has named Michael (Mike) Ensing as its new Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Ensing will lead the financial team of Portland, Oregon-based KU-US, the parent company of the KinderCare Learning Centers®, CCLC®, Champions®, Cambridge Schools®, Knowledge Beginnings®, and the Grove Schools™. Collectively, they provide early learning and school-age programs to more than 200,000 children in more than 1,600 locations and 400 programs around the country. KU-US is the largest business in the Knowledge Universe global education organization.
Ensing brings a proven combination of strong strategic, financial, and business skills to KU-US. His broad base of experience includes leading finance organizations and providing consulting expertise at market-leading companies including Microsoft, McKinsey & Company, and Deloitte Consulting. Ensing joins KU-US after eight years with Microsoft, where he most recently served as Chief Financial Officer for Corporate Center and Research & Development Finance. In that role, Ensing led an international finance organization that provided support to numerous internal organizations and emerging businesses at Microsoft.
