Inn at the 5th Racks up Accolades for Service and Style

Boutique Hotel Earns Eugene’s First AAA Four Diamond Award

EUGENE, Ore.--()--Only six months after opening its doors, Oregon’s newest boutique hotel, Inn at the 5th, has received world-renowned recognition for excellence in hospitality, upscale design and attention to detail. Inn at the 5th is the latest to earn the prestigious American Automobile Association (AAA) Four Diamond Award, the International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Association Hospitality Excellence Award, and Oregon Bride Magazine Editor’s Pick for Best New Boutique Hotel in 2012.

“To be Eugene’s first recipient of the Four Diamond Award and in the company of premier northwest properties like The Allison in Newberg, Ore., and Sorrento Hotel in Seattle is something we set out to accomplish when our doors opened in February,” said Erik Cole, general manager, “And to be recognized internationally and in our backyard just six months out of the gate is reassurance that we’re doing it right.”

The AAA Diamond Rating is one of only two ratings systems in the country that conducts on-site inspections with professionally trained evaluators. Anonymous inspectors make annual, unscheduled visits to score each hotel based on comfort, cleanliness, security, and available amenities and services. In 2012, only 4.8 percent of the 31,000 AAA Approved and Diamond Rated hotels received Four Diamond Awards.

Further confirmation came from the International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Association (IFWTWA), which announced its second quarterly awards recognizing the best in culinary and hospitality around the world in July, and from Oregon Bride Magazine, which named Inn at the 5th Best New Boutique Hotel in 2012.

"Inn at the 5th is a perfect blend of sustainability and luxury," said Allen Cox, IFWTWA Director and Chairman of that organization's Excellence Awards Committee, who stayed at the Inn. "Earth-friendly construction and operating practices, combined with a great location, exceptional design and first-rate amenities, push this delightful small hotel far beyond the upper limits of what discerning guests have come to expect. This Inn clearly joins the ranks of the world's finest destination hotels."

Distinctive for its integration into Eugene’s revitalized Market District, with service from Gervais Salon & Spa located on the first floor of the Inn, and catering from neighboring James Beard-nominated Marché restaurant, Inn at the 5th has become a destination of unmatched service and style.

The hotel is now offering hotel guests a new Park & Fly package starting at $209 per night that includes complimentary parking for up to 15 days ($15 per night after that) and complimentary shuttle to and from the Eugene Airport. Call (855) 446-6285 toll-free for special summer room rates and celebration packages starting at $199 now until Labor Day.
