SALTON CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Juan Bautista de Anza Online Charter School (JBDA), a tuition-free public school, invites the community to an open house at its San Marcos Resource Center, 1030 La Bonita Drive, Suite 100, San Marcos from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, Aug. 24. From 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., JBDA students will work with Arabian horses to demonstrate the skills they have gained from the school’s unique Horse Wisdom equine program. In addition, the public will be able to tour the facility, meet the staff and learn about the innovative online and site-based program during its open enrollment period for fall 2012.
Juan Bautista de Anza is a comprehensive middle and high school program that serves students in San Diego, Orange, Riverside and Imperial counties. The school offers a California State Standards-based curriculum from Advanced Academics, with more than 150 core, Advanced Placement and elective courses available to students. Juan Bautista de Anza features a blended educational model that combines the best of 21st century online learning with one-on-one teacher support from on-site instructors. In addition to an online curriculum, students have the opportunity to participate in monthly field trips, service learning projects and the Horse Wisdom equine leadership program.
