SEVEN HILLS, Ohio--()--Chancellor University is pleased to announce two additions to its leadership team. Dr. Brian McElyea, PhD has been named Chief Financial Officer and Michele L. Yurcich has joined the university as Senior Director of Marketing and Development.

Dr. McElyea served 23 years in the U.S. Navy during which he served as CFO, financial controller and financial operations manager at various medical and research facilities. Upon retiring from the Navy, he consulted for major organizations to enhance their leadership and financial operations. Dr. McElyea has taught basic and advanced healthcare finance for graduate schools as well as introductory and advanced finance for MBA programs. He brings to the CFO position seasoned financial management, strategic organizational vision, and a passion for higher education.
Ms. Yurcich brings experience in working directly with higher education audiences and alumni. She is a Certified Social Media Associate and has developed and presented seminars focusing on marketing techniques and social media. In her new role, Ms. Yurcich is responsible for overseeing all marketing efforts on behalf of Chancellor University while developing strategic brand direction and consistent presentation of CU’s brand across all channels of distribution.

Chancellor University was founded in Cleveland in 1848. It has served students in Northeast Ohio since then and has served students on-line since the late 1990s. The school currently enrolls students from 45 of the 50 U.S. states and several foreign countries. Since 1978, Chancellor University has been accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. In July, 2012, the Higher Learning Commission issued a Show Cause order to Chancellor.
