Pete Retzlaff joins NCHV board of directors

The annual Partnership Award recognizes organizations that have contributed to NCHV’s efforts to develop partnerships that expand services available for homeless veterans.

The Corporate Partnership Award was presented during the NCHV’s annual conference in Washington, D.C. Accepting the award on behalf of NewDay USA were the company’s CEO Rob Posner and member of Chrysalis Holdings’ board of directors Pete Retzlaff. Retzlaff is currently a director of Chrysalis Holdings. Prior to his service at Chrysalis, he was a member of the board of directors for Teleflex Corporation and for Harleysville National Bank. Before his career in private business, Retzlaff had a successful career with the National Football League, first as a player for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1956 to 1966, and then as the vice president and general manager of the Philadelphia Eagles from 1969 to 1972. During his playing career, he was a five time all pro tight end selection; in 1965, Retzlaff received the Bert Bell Award for NFL Player of the Year.

The NCHV, a nonprofit organization governed by a 17-member board, is the resource and technical assistance center for a national network of community-based service providers and local, state and federal agencies that provide emergency and supportive housing, food, health services, job training and placement assistance, legal aid and case management support for hundreds of thousands of homeless veterans each year.
