WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Committed to staying ahead of evolving Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, security firm Black Lotus Communications has augmented its patent pending Human Behavior Analysis (HBA) technology with the integration DDoS mitigation technology created by NSFOCUS Information Technology Ltd. The company recently completed validation testing of the NSFOCUS ADS system as part of its availability management and DDoS mitigation arsenal to further enhance Black Lotus’ enterprise availability assurance infrastructure, which includes proprietary technology and commercial solutions from leading brands.
"Maintaining a multi-10G DDoS protection network requires a diverse defense in-depth strategy, where NSFOCUS can play a major role," said Jeffrey Lyon, President and CEO, Black Lotus Communications. "We're excited to have another robust toolset at our disposal to assist in the analysis and mitigation of complex DDoS attacks; of particular interest to us is the ADS' Layer 7 DDoS mitigation capabilities which are complementary to our proprietary methods of validating legitimate human characteristics of web site visits."
NSFOCUS’ technology is relied upon by some of the world’s most highly trafficked websites to detect and stop DDoS attacks in order to keep the world’s economy functioning. The NSFOCUS ADS is able to analyze and divert abnormal traffic, whether application-layer or network-based, before it has an opportunity to interfere with normal business functionality.
"Black Lotus HBA can literally determine whether a single visit to your web site is a real person or part of a botnet attack," said Frank Ip, Vice President, North America, NSFOCUS. "When implemented jointly with holistic network defense and analysis provided by the NSFOCUS ADS, Black Lotus is able to remain on the forefront of carrier grade availability management."
Black Lotus recently applied for a U.S. patent on its Human Behavior (HBA) technology which is capable of defeating zero day "low and slow" Layer 7 DDoS attacks without any prior knowledge of the attack vector, signature, or connection rate.
