SEATTLE--()--Hark, the world’s largest platform for pop culture sound bites, today announced a partnership with Universal Partnerships & Licensing for licensed promotional audio content.
“We couldn’t be more excited about this partnership with Universal and all of the great content that it brings to the millions of people who visit Hark daily”
Hark will gain access to nearly 100 films in Universal’s vast film library and stream digital audio clips online. As a result, some of the industry’s most iconic movie moments, from classic films such as Animal House, The Blues Brothers, and The Breakfast Club to modern blockbusters such as Bridesmaids and Fast Five, can be accessed and shared on www.hark.com.
By partnering with Hark, Universal expands its content offerings to movie fans while promoting films from its library and creating new revenue streams from existing studio content.
“We couldn’t be more excited about this partnership with Universal and all of the great content that it brings to the millions of people who visit Hark daily,” said Hark CEO David Aronchick. “Some of the entertainment industry’s most memorable moments are part of Universal’s library, and this partnership will enable people to easily access, enjoy and share them.”
Hark, a top 10 entertainment site on the Internet for movie content according to comScore, now provides a product library of more than 3-million audio sound bites, quotes and images that can be accessed and shared across multiple devices and social media platforms. More than 50 million consumers worldwide visit Hark each month to find their favorite pieces of pop culture content by searching across hundreds of data points, including actor, character, subtitles and many more.
Today’s announcement marks the third major studio partnership for Hark in 2012. Earlier this year, Hark announced similar partnerships with Warner Bros. Digital Distribution and with Paramount Pictures. Hark will continue to expand its product catalog with additional partnerships in 2012.
