Phil Smith Joins MtronPTI as Director of Marketing

ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Phil Smith has joined MtronPTI, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The LGL Group, Inc., and a world leader in custom frequency control and filter solutions, to serve as Director of Marketing. Reporting to Greg Anderson, President and CEO, Mr. Smith will be responsible for developing strategies that drive future business opportunities and to define emerging market solutions.

Mr. Smith, a semiconductor industry veteran, held various design, sales and marketing positions at Teradyne, Inc., a leading supplier of automatic test equipment, at their Boston, Massachusetts, location. Working within a test system maker and extensively in the field with their semiconductor clients, Smith gained a unique understanding of both the promise of integration and the tradeoffs in real-time system design. Mr. Smith, principal in TimeShift Productions, a marketing consultancy, first began working with MtronPTI management in 2011 to continuously improve the strategy and product planning process. Mr. Smith holds a bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
