SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ebates.com, the pioneer and leader in online cash back shopping, today announced findings from its Father’s Day survey and found that what women want to give the dad in their life may not necessarily be what men really want.
The national survey conducted online by Harris Interactive, on behalf of Ebates in April 2012, discovered that among 2,215 American adults aged 18 or older the number one present American women think men want for Father’s Day is tickets to a sporting event (60%). However, the number one gift dads* actually want is a tablet or smartphone (52%).
Completing the top five gifts American Dads would like to receive are a home cooked meal, which came in second among dads (37%), followed by tickets to a sporting event (36%), power tools (34%), and then a guilt free weekend with friends (30%). Tickets to a sporting event topped the list of what women thought men wanted most for Father’s Day, followed by power tools, a home cooked meal, a tablet or smartphone and a guilt-free weekend with friends.
