About Children’s Literacy Initiative
Philadelphia-based Children’s Literacy Initiative is a national nonprofit that provides professional development services to pre-kindergarten through third grade teachers to transform literacy instruction so that all children can become powerful readers, writers, and thinkers. In partnership with schools and districts, CLI Model Classrooms provide teachers with the tools, training, leadership, and peer support they need to deliver quality literacy instruction. CLI was awarded an Investing in Innovation validation grant by the U.S. Department of Education in 2010. For more information on CLI’s work, visit www.childrensliteracyinitiative.org.
