Digital River Introduces The App Practice for Online Merchants

Provides online merchants additional ways to drive revenue across multiple devices, operating systems and commerce channels

MINNEAPOLIS--()--Digital River, Inc. (NASDAQ: DRIV), the revenue growth experts in global cloud commerce, introduced The App Practice suite of commerce solutions for monetizing and distributing digital and physical products and services across multiple operating systems on a global basis. The App Practice offers online merchants a flexible and seamless way to capitalize on the proliferation of devices, operating systems and commerce channels that buyers use for shopping and engaging with content.

The App Practice is part of Digital River’s flagship Global Commerce enterprise solution. The solutions that are part of the suite can be used together or in custom configurations to drive online revenue and increase buyer lifetime value. They include:

  • Cloud billing and subscriptions: a scheduled subscription billing engine with multiple pricing models, including trials, freemiums, volume-based and tiered-price list management;
  • White-labeled enterprise app stores: merchant-branded app stores that offer an integrated buyer experience with access to proprietary and third-party catalogs as well as multi-party payments;
  • In-app purchasing and marketplaces: in-app commerce technology that enables up-selling and cross-selling directly in application or service; and
  • App monetization and lifecycle optimization: services designed to optimize the user experience while ensuring the highest acquisition and renewal rates.

“We are excited to provide our clients with new tools, technology and expertise to grow their revenue across devices and operating systems,” said Joel Ronning, Digital River’s CEO. “The App Practice is designed for flexibility so that our solutions can scale with our clients’ growth. We intend to continue to expand The App Practice to meet online buyers’ increasing demands for anytime, anywhere, any way purchase options.”
