FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Arnstein & Lehr LLP today announced that Franklin Zemel, partner, obtained a $1.1 million judgment, plus pre-judgment interest for his client, Partex Apparel International, in a breach of contract case against Gear for Sports Inc., a sports apparel company owned by HanesBrands, INC (NYSE:HBI). The ruling was announced on March 28 in Kansas district court.
Partex, an El Salvador-based manufacturer, claimed that GFSI failed to pay for several shipments of sports apparel that it had received. The lawsuit was originally filed in the Southern District of Florida in 2010 because Partex maintains a corporate bank account in Miami. In July 2010, GFSI requested and was granted permission to move the case to Kansas court.
