Created in Providence, Cleverhood is a line of distinctive rain capes for downtown walking and biking. It is comprised of mostly US-made components and assembled by U.S. garment workers.
“Tradition has held that April showers bring May flowers, but we’ll see if our upside-down weather patterns continue,” said Susan Mocarski, creator of Cleverhood and head of the eponymously named small company. “We think a sustainable outlook is vital today and we take our inspiration from the slow-bike movement, which exemplifies the way people are adapting culturally to better practices.”
