ATLANTA & NASHVILLE--()--Windsor Health GroupSM today announced that Wendy Richey joins the company as the Chief Compliance Officer. In this position, she is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of the company’s compliance programs, ensuring conformity with governmental requirements and representing the organization in government compliance matters as well as regulatory meetings and activities. She will also direct training programs for employees regarding compliance requirements.
Ms. Richey came to WHG from HealthSpring where she was Senior Vice President, Regulatory Management & Administration. During her 16 years with the company, she led and managed HealthSpring’s regulatory and compliance issues, supervised and coordinated deliverables, and communicated and managed corrective action/business plan development for submission to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). She managed relationships with Congress through the passage of the Medicare Improvement for Patients and Providers Act and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and became a resource for members and her peers in the industry.
Ms. Richey served as primary liaison with CMS on behalf of HealthSpring’s Medicare Advantage plans in Tennessee, Texas, Illinois, Mississippi, Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Alabama and the District of Columbia. Wendy provided guidance to all plans regarding the Medicare program and contractual obligations, and oversaw department performance for Compliance with regulatory requirements. She also oversaw filings for new market entry and existing market expansions with the Federal Government.
Ms. Richey also spent 14 years working for AARP developing and implementing the association’s nationwide Medigap Program.
