    • 562 speakers across approximately 346 sessions, including keynotes, P2Ps, track sessions, tutorials and seminars.
  • More than 350 companies across the information security landscape showcased the tools and technologies that will protect personal and professional assets now and in the future.
  • RSA Conference 2012 highlights include:
    • This year’s Innovation Sandbox program featuring interactive white boarding sessions, “Start-up Speed Dating”, matching venture capital professionals with early stage start-up company attendees and the top 10 finalists’ presentations to a panel of judges.
      • Appthority was named Most Innovative Company at RSA Conference 2012 by Innovation Sandbox’s panel of judges comprised of technology, venture and security industry thought leaders.
    • Offering both live streaming from the show floor and recorded content from onsite events and in-studio, live-audience material, the inaugural RSA Conference Online provided the security community an expanded experience to the 2012 event. This year’s panelists tackled latest advances in cryptography, research areas to watch in 2012 and practical insights that continue to be drawn from lessons learned over the last year.
    • New security debate sessions featured compelling discussions on software liability and Internet access. Meanwhile, the new program, Author’s Studio, included discussions with Mark Russinovich, Technical Fellow, Microsoft Corporation, Mark Bowden, Contributing editor, Vanity Fair and author Bruce Schneier, Chief Technology Security Officer, BT.
    • One of this year’s most timely sessions was The Rise of Hacktivism featuring moderator Jeffrey Brown, PBS NewsHour Senior Correspondent, and panelists Misha Glenny, Author & Journalist; Eric Strom, Unit Chief, Cyber Initiative and Resource Fusion Unit Cyber Division, Federal Bureau of Investigation. The group discussed the uptick in hacktivism over the last year and shared opinions on how organizations should react and prepare for an attack once they’ve been targeted.
    • The 15th Annual RSA Conference Awards program highlighted the work of six security professionals in the fields of mathematics, public policy and security practices. This year’s winners included:

      • Dr. Mitsuru Matsui, Excellence in the Field of Mathematics Award
      • Congressman Mac Thornberry, Excellence in the Field of Public Policy Award

  • RSA Conference 2013 will take place February 25 – March 1 at Moscone Center in San Francisco.
  • RSA Conference Europe 2012 is scheduled for October 9-11 at the Hilton London Metropole Hotel in the U.K. and RSA Conference China 2012 will take place during the summer of 2012.
