FireMon Enters High Growth EMEA Risk Analysis and Firewall Management Markets

Team of Security Veterans Lead Partner-centric EMEA Expansion

PARIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FireMon, the leading provider of security management and risk analysis solutions, today announced its entry and investment into the fast growing EMEA Risk Analysis and Firewall Management market, led by industry veteran Bernard Zelmans.

The company recently announced record sales and new customer growth in 2011 for its integrated family of advanced firewall management and risk analysis software. In November, 2011 FireMon announced availability of its new Risk Analyzer solution, which helps enterprises and MSSPs visualize and identify risks in real-time, quantify their importance and impact, and assess effectiveness of planned changes before implementing.

Team of Security Veterans Join FireMon

Bernard Zelmans brings more than two decades of security industry experience to his role of EMEA General Manager at FireMon. Zelmans was most recently responsible at Nokia Siemens Networks for the Content Security business. His previous experience includes the 2002 launch of Crossbeam Systems in Europe, where he was a key member of the management team leading Crossbeam’s rapid growth. He has also worked for global organizations such as Sun Microsystems, Bay Networks and Nortel. Zelmans holds a degree in Computer-Aided Design systems development and Business Management.

Focusing on Northern Europe, James Selby brings 20 years of IT Security sales experience as a Senior Account Manager to FireMon, specialising in new emerging processes and solutions. Selby joins FireMon from NGS Secure/NCC Group, where he had a senior role managing key accounts for their Penetration Testing and security consultancy business. Previously Selby has held senior sales management roles at Data Integration, Pentura, PSINet, CenturyCom and Portcullis Computer Security. Selby is a founder member of London’s oldest independent security group IISyG founded in 1993.

Leading the Central Region, Philipp Matitschek brings more than 20 years of IT Networking and Security sales experience as a Senior Account Manager. Matitschek was most recently responsible for the Content Security business at Optenet DACH. Prior to Optenet, Matitschek launched Crossbeam Systems in DACH region in 2002. Matitschek has worked at other large companies including Check Point Software in Azlan Germany.
