Application Developers Alliance Welcomes Inclusive Process to Protect Consumers’ Privacy

Transparency, Education and Continued Innovation are Keys to Privacy Success

WASHINGTON--()--In response to the Obama Administration’s release today of its “Consumer Privacy Bill of Rights” blueprint, the Application Developers Alliance released the following statement:

“Application developers are the innovators of the digital economy”

"Application developers are the innovators of the digital economy,” said Apps Alliance president Jon Potter. “Our members’ success carries with it the responsibility to meet consumer expectations and to protect consumers’ privacy. App developers have many innovative privacy options and tools at their disposal today, but there is always room for improvement. We welcome President Obama’s invitation and we look forward to engaging with the Administration in support of online and application privacy."

The Application Developers Alliance is a newly formed industry association for app developers. Alliance members include thousands of individual developers and more than 30 corporate members, including Media Chaperone, WooBaa Games, and Privacy Choice.
